First full day of camp!! Good day. Lovely kids, very nice and sweet.
We started the day with a few games and stretches on the grass then we split into 4 groups. These will be our 4 teams for the camp, together in our groups we will compete against each other and these will also be our Olympics teams. We have the Blue Stars, the Red Dragons, the Yellow Toilets (....?) and the Lean Mean Green Machine. We designed mascots, posters and team chants. I'm looking forward to what we will do together.
We also had our first basketball season today. I have the older kids and they are good. We started with warm ups and stretching then did some drills and layups. We were going to do a game but it was too hot so we watched the highlights of the 2011 NBA game.
Lunch was nice and chill, much easier with less kids.
After lunch we had English class in which we interviewed each other and drew portraits. We got to know each other. I have a feeling this is going to be a good class, lots of lovely kids.
Now we're at the pool relaxing and swimming.
