Scavenger Hunt!

Today my class went on a scavenger hunt! It was a great way to learn some new vocabulary and immediately put it into practical use. We learned some new words like pinecone, berries, sand, bark, moss and many more. Once we had the words down pat, the hard part began: actually finding the things! Day 3 of fun!!

Day 3 was amazing!! We went to Astorga for a day trip and had the greatest time. We started of on the bus were we sang songs and chants, I learnt a lot of new songs. When we arrived we started the day by doing part of the Camino de Santiago. We walked along the road, across bridges and through the town. Second day at camp - Nature Fun!!!

Day two started off well with a dual game between two teams, my class won the game - yay!! For the morning English Class we pre-taught the students some nature vocabulary (leaf, moss, bark etc) then went on a nature walk and scavenger hunt. Third day at camp - Trip to Astorga!!

Day trip to Astorga!!! Today we had an exciting day trip to a nearby city. We started with walking 3km of the Camino de Santiago - a great acheivement for the kids. Then my group visited the Palacio Episcopal which is an astounding Gaudi building, the kids were very impressed with the sculpture and paintings inside the palace. Excursion to Astorga

Today we journeyed outside of camp into the historical town of Astorga. This town is a famous pit stop for the pilgrims doing the Camino de Santigao. The bus dropped us off 2 kilometers outside of town where we walked a trail on the Camino. Arriving into town, we first visited the Palacio Episcopal, a beautiful building built by Gaudi.
